For each day I open my eyes,
For the love you've brought into my life,
For the candle light your help provides,
For the house in which my heart resides,
For the blessings I can count today,
And the true love that will come my way,
For fabulous food for both body and soul,
For allowing me to remain whole,
For protecting me as I walk in the rain,
For the ability to heel my existing pain,
For allowing me a second chance,
To find a passion in true romance,
For the abilities I charish and use each day,
For the colors brought through work and play,
For the opportunity to move on,
And the ability to remain strong;
Although times have been rough on the heart,
You've laid around and played your part,
And as times change I know you are there,
Because you show great love and care;
And even if things aren't a breeze,
It's thanks to you I'm without disease;
And so I give this life to you;
Thank you for always being true.
I love it! This totally makes me think of God and the Lord.
I think this is amazing and beautiful. It's finally a piece of writing that's not down and depressing like many others posted in the boards.
Normally when I write, it is during a time of depression or resentment. However, I thought that posting something positive, as that's how I was feeling at the time of this writing, would make a different kind of impact. Thanks for the compliment! Lol! And it really does make you think.
